Whilst based in Auckland I had the opportunity of working for the Yacht Research Unit of Auckland University.
Activities included aerodynamic studies, scoping, designing and running experiments in highly competitive and time critical environment, facility management and operation, reporting, client liaison and development of software.
Customers included racing sailboat campaigns, Olympic cyclists, renewable energy technology developers, property developers and shipping companies.
My time working for the YRU gave me the opportunity to build on my previous hydrodynamics and experiment experience in the aerodynamics field and in technically world leading wind tunnel facilities. |
